KPT was founded in 1997 by Gary D. Kassimir MS, PT, CHT, a Maryland licensed physical therapist. Gary is a 1987 graduate of Long Island University with BS-MS degree in Physical Therapy. He has extensive experience in outpatient orthopedics, hand rehabilitation, splinting, and sports rehabilitation. Gary has been a certified hand therapist since 1998. Gary's clinical and administrative experience has provided him with a vision of Ultimate Rehab and continues to warrant positive changes and improvement within KPT. His vision is closely followed by clinical and administrative staff within the practice.
At KPT, we offer quality care through consistent treatments with a
primary therapist. Patients will see the same familiar faces
in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. One-on-one patient
education in self care, therapeutic exercises and body mechanics
helps avoid further injury, promote healing and emphasize safety
during activities of daily living. Our therapists use a hands-on approach, utilizing their extensive manual training. Comprehensive Evaluation During the first visit at KPT the patient will receive a comprehensive initial evaluation. It begins with a detailed history and physical exam, which includes necessary tests and measurements. Once the evaluation is completed, an individualized treatment program is developed and goals are established based on the needs of the patients and recommendations of the referring doctor. Our Personalized Programs To help patients reach their rehabilitative goals, Kassimir Physical Therapy offers a variety of clinically proven treatments, latest technology and equipment. We also provide a state-of-the-art on-site gym, aquatic therapy at a local facility, and custom molded splinting by a Certified Hand Therapist on staff. Our focus on manual therapy and customized exercise programs at KPT have proven themselves effective in the rehabilitation of our patients.
